Update 28/04/20

 


Given the uncertainty of the current situation, the Education Authority has made arrangements to prepare and issue notification of placement letters for P.1. and Pre-school Stage 1 to parents for receipt on 29th April 2020.


The letter will outline the application outcome, provide information on the appeals process and link to the EA website for more information.

As it is possible that due to Covid-19 that some post may take longer to deliver than usual , the Citizen Portal will be opened on Wednesday 29th April and Parents/guardians who had applied online can log in to view their child'[s preschool/P1 (target age Stage 1) placements.

Guidance on how to log in and access placement offers will be accessible on the EA website.
Reference will also be included in the letter to the following;

-Acceptance or non-acceptance of an offer of a place can be emailed to the school or playgroup and where are not accepting the offer, to copy the email to the relevant EA Admission's office and -

For a small number of schools/playgroups the offer of a place may be conditional on a parent/guardian providing you with verifying information.

 

The letter will not include information about start dates, induction meetings etc, this will be communicated directly by the school at a later date when we are able.


So to summarise parents should receive a letter from the Education Authority on Wednesday 29th April offering a Nursery/P1 place for September. 

For Glenbrook Nursery School places for the year 2020-2021,  parents should email the nursery on info@glenbrookns.newtownards.ni.sch.uk - as soon as possible to inform us that they are accepting/not accepting their place.

Admissions 

 

The Open Enrolment procedure as designated by the Department of Education will commence 7th January 2020 at 12.00 noon. All applications are now online so keep checking the Education Authority website (www.eani.org.uk) for further details. If you wish to apply to our school, please follow these steps:

 

 

Here is a timeline of the process:

 

- Criteria will be published online from 19th December 2019 on www.eani.org.uk

 

-Portal for applications opens on 7th January at 12 noon.

 

-Portal for applications closes on 30th January at 12 noon. All applications received after this will be deemed late.

 

-By 7th February 2020 at 12 noon you must have brought supporting documentation for all listed preferences to your 1st preference pre-school provider.

 

-28th April 2020- a letter will be posted to advise you of the outcome of your application. Receipt will be received on 29th April 2020.

📨 🕑 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT NURSERY AND P1 PLACES FOR SEPTEMBER 2020 🕑📨

We have just received an email from the EA with the following details in relation to placement letters for Nursery for September, and for our current children moving on to P1.

Given  the  uncertainty  of  the  current  situation,  EA  has made  arrangements to  prepare  and  issue notification of placement letters for P1 and Pre - School Stage 1 to parents for receipt on 29 April 2020.
