Week Beginning Monday 22nd June 2020
It is so hard to believe we are nearly at the end of our nursery year already. This week we will be thinking about how the children will be transitioning to P1 in September and we have some stories and activities to help explain this to them. There is also a useful document from Getting Ready to Learn about transitioning to P1. Hopefully you can make it to school at your allocated time next week to collect your yearbooks and reports-we are looking forward to seeing you then. This week we have been busy recording a little message for each class to say goodbye! We hope you enjoy watching them together.

Wednesday 24th June 2020
Today we have another story for you all about going to school. We have been talking about some of the things you can do to help your child in P1. For your challenge today and during the summer we are encouraging you all to keep up your fine motor activities. This will be so beneficial for your child when they have to hold a pencil to write. We have uploaded some fine motor activity ideas for you using pasta, clothes pegs and lots of different materials from your house. Enjoy!

Our caterpillars are now in the chrysalis stage, so make sure to watch our video to see how they have changed. Afterwards we have a lovely story for you called ‘The Munching Crunching Caterpillar.’ There is also a short video about what is happening to the caterpillar during the chrysalis stage. Then you could watch the ‘Butterfly Symmetry’ video and try to create your very own symmetrical butterflies. Have fun exploring lots of different colours and patterns that you can make through printing!
This will also be our last home learning video as next week we are hoping to see you all on your designated day to collect your Child’s items and yearbook. We can’t wait to see you all and hope you have enjoyed these videos and home learning activities 😊.
